Event Details

Join us at our next exciting ASTD chapter meeting featuring coach, speaker, and author of Living a Five Star Life!, Betty Mahalik! Betty will share compelling examples of how EQ or lack of can help or hinder your career, identify four key components of emotional intelligence, build a business case to train emotional and social intelligence, and share ways to increase your EQ.

 

Betty Mahalik, Professional Certified Coach (PCC), is a life and business coach, corporate trainer and facilitator, who has been teaching people how to communicate effectively, set goals, manage stress and deal with change for over two decades. She founded her firm, Dynamic Solutions Coaching & Training in 1987.

A former television news reporter and anchorwoman, Betty worked for eight years in the field of public relations prior to starting her own business. For two-and-a-half years she traveled coast -to-coast as a trainer for National Seminars, offering professional image and communication programs to thousands of participants.

Betty holds a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Utah and has completed graduate-level courses in counseling at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In July 1998, she completed her professional coach training through Coach U, and in 2007, she was awarded the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation from the International Coach Federation. She is active in the local ICF Chapter, the Nevada Professional Coach's Association.

Betty is a past-president (2004-05) of the National Association of Women Business Owners Southern Nevada Chapter, and in 2007 was honored as the recipient of NAWBO's Women of Distinction Award in Human Resources, Training & Development. She is a graduate of the Leadership Las Vegas program, and has served on several planning teams for both the youth and adult leadership programs.
